As part of its continuing 35th-anniversary celebration, Ubisoft is giving away the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy for free on PC this week.
This week, Ubisoft is offering all three Assassin’s Creed Chronicles games for free on PC as part of a special campaign to commemorate the company’s 35th anniversary. It’s one of several gestures the publisher has made to players, including a free weekend for Ghost Recon Breakpoint on all major platforms. In the weeks ahead, Ubisoft has promised even additional freebies, special discounts, and awards as the anniversary celebration continue through December.
Through November 12, Ubisoft has made the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy free to download on Ubisoft Connect for PC players. The Assassin’s Creed Chronicles games were released in three installments between 2015 and 2016, depicting the story of three separate Assassins in 1526 China, 1841 India, and 1918 Russia. The Chronicles Trilogy, unlike the larger open-world Assassin’s Creed games, includes side-scrolling 2.5D platforming in addition to the series’ standard stealth-based assassination gameplay and historical conspiracy plot.
Ubisoft is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year by giving away a few games from its back catalog, and the Assassin’s Creed franchise is still going strong thanks to the success of the Viking-themed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which has since become one of Ubisoft’s most profitable games since its release in November 2020. While it’s not quite the same as obtaining AC Valhalla for free, gamers who haven’t had the chance to play the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy will be able to claim the games for free for the rest of the week, and it’s unlikely to be the last free present of Ubisoft’s anniversary celebration.
