The Suicide Squad Gameplay Trailer Demonstrates That Superman Is Not The Only Villain

Suicide Squad: Kill has released a new gameplay trailer. More villains will be pitted against gamers in The Justice League, including The Flash and Brainiac.

Rocksteady Studios debuted gameplay footage for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League at the 2021 Game Awards, and the trailer indicated that gamers would face off against more than just Superman. While previous trailers hinted at the true villain of Suicide Squad, this new teaser almost proves it. The gameplay trailer features characters who have never been seen before in-game footage and a demonstration of how the game will play.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, players assume the roles of King Shark, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, and Deadshot on a mission from Amanda Waller to eliminate the Justice League’s brainwashed members. The game will be played in the third person and can be played solo or with a team via online co-op. Task Force X will face off against several Justice League members, with many characters previously announced for the Suicide Squad game. As players explore an open-world Metropolis, they’re bound to come into familiar faces from DC’s enormous roster of heroes and villains, both good and bad.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s latest gameplay clip, shared to YouTube by GameSpot, indicates that gamers will be fighting both The Flash and Superman, as well as confirming that the Justice League members are definitely under Brainiac’s mind control. The Flash taunts and fights Task Force X throughout the video, with Amanda Waller reminding the crew that they are under tight instructions to kill him. Machines and enemies with Brainiac’s trademark purple glow, as well as what looks to be a giant spacecraft in the shape of Brainiac’s skull, all bear Brainiac’s presence. While the Suicide Squad teaser just showed a brief glimpse of the villainous Flash, it appears like he will be a recurring foe throughout the game and will almost certainly be featured in a boss battle.

Much has been said about Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is currently being kept under wraps, and it will most likely remain that way until the game releases next year. From this trailer and other glimpses, it’s evident that Brainiac has Superman, Green Lantern, and The Flash under his control. Wonder Woman appears in the game, albeit she appears to be uncorrupted by Brainiac. Therefore she may end up siding with the gamers. This game may also set up future games or introduce new characters, similar to how Gizmo alluded to the Teen Titans’ existence.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, is putting together a who’s who of some of DC’s most well-known characters, with players attempting to take down some of the most strong. There are a lot of allusions to the Arkham games, which Rocksteady also developed, so a return to that series could be on the cards. For the time being, gamers will have their hands busy battling all of the game’s heroes and villains.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice Leaguewill release for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X in 2022.
