Today, Apple stepped to the stage to promote its new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, although the price is, of course, the most crucial factor for practically every consumer. These new MacBook Pros will be available for pre-order starting today and delivery next week, but how much will they cost? What you’re looking for will determine this.
There are five beginning options to choose from across the 14-inch and 16-inch versions, and those configurations can be adjusted further before checkout. The cheapest of these new MacBook Pros starts at $1,999.00, which gets you a 14-inch machine with an M1 Pro (8-core CPU, 14-core GPU), 16GB of unified memory, and 512GB of SSD storage.
The 14-inch MacBook starts at $2,499.00 if you upgrade to the 10-core CPU M1 Pro. It’s worth noting that the 10-core 14-inch MacBook Pro comes with a 96W USB-C power adapter instead of the standard model’s 67W USB-C power adapter.
There are three beginning combinations to pick from on the 16-inch side of things. The first is an M1 Pro with a 10-core CPU, 16-core GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage, which costs $2,499.00. For a starting price of $2,699.00, we have a device with 1TB of SSD storage and all of the specs of the first 16-inch model. Finally, the only MacBook Pro with an M1 Max standard, with a 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of SSD storage for a starting price of $3,499.00, completes the trifecta.
That isn’t cheap, but we assume that only those who require a mobile workstation will be interested in the top-of-the-line model. Users may personalise each model by increasing the SoC (all versions appear to support the M1 Max processor), RAM, storage space, and even pre-installed software such as Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro, though additions will, of course, raise the price.
If you equipped the M1 Max 16-inch MacBook Pro with 64GB of RAM and 8TB of storage, you’d be looking at a total cost of $6,099.00, which isn’t cheap. Whether you need a 14-inch or 16-inch display, all-new MacBook Pro models are available for pre-order on Apple’s website today and will begin delivering next week. Still, some combinations will likely take longer to arrive as more orders are placed.
