One Thing Is Missing From Spider-Man PS5 Player's Movie Poster Recreation

A Spider-Man PS5 player could reproduce a famous Spider-Man 2 movie poster. However, one important aspect was left off.

A PS5 player recreated a famous Spider-Man 2 movie poster using photo mode in Marvel’s Spider-Man, however one detail was left off. Marvel’s Spider-Man’s photo mode has allowed many players to reinterpret their favorite movie scenes and posters since the game’s first release on PS4 in late 2018. Given the number of suits accessible in-game, the options seem limitless.

Insomniac Games introduced two new outfits to the Spider-Man PS5 collection in the run-up to the theatrical release of Spider-Man: No Way Home. One such suit is the black and gold outfit worn by No Way Home and the new red outfit with gold elements. However, these two DLC costumes were only released for the remastered version of the game on PS5, much to the displeasure of PS4-only owners. Several other film-specific clothes are available in both versions of the experience, including Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man suit from Sam Raimi’s trilogy. When it comes to video game photography, this outfit is, of course, a fan favorite.

Preston Moore posted a screenshot of his Spider-Man 2 (2004) movie poster remake in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered on Twitter lately. Tobey Maguire’s web-slinger is depicted uncovered on the original poster, peering over the metropolis. While Moore’s picture mode effort does an excellent job of comparable reimagining material, one feature stands out: PlayStation’s Peter is still veiled. Given that there is currently no method to unmask the hero at leisure, this isn’t an oversight on Moore’s side. Even the supposedly extensive photo mode selections don’t let the hero show his actual face to the camera.

Moore’s efforts are nothing if not praiseworthy, regardless of the minor minutiae. They also point out something that many players are likely to overlook when swinging around the massive open-world: Insomniac’s Spider-derrière Man’s may give Nightwing a run for his money.

Insomniac followed up its critically praised Spider-Man journey with Marvel‘s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a well-received action game released on PS4 and PS5 in November 2020. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which Sony publicly debuted during the PlayStation Showcase this past September, would see Peter and Miles link up once more in 2023 for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. As of this writing, nothing is known about the sequel, but the teaser hinted at the appearance of at least two renowned Marvel villains, Kraven the Hunter and Venom, the latter of whom will be voiced by Tony Todd.

On PS4 and PS5, Marvel’s Spider-Man is now available to play.
