The official launch trailer for Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty: Vanguard features the North American release dates for digital pre-orders.
Sledgehammer Games and Activision have released a Call of Duty: Vanguard launch trailer, which confirms the release dates for those who preorder the game digitally in North America. Vanguard is the first Call of Duty game to feature Sledgehammer since WWII in 2017. On the other hand, the California-based developer has stayed active in recent years, notably assisting the creation of Modern Warfare (2019) and the Black Ops Cold War.
Sledgehammer and the players return to World War II in Vanguard, with this time’s journey focusing on the origins of Special Forces groups. Fans will experience the Second World War via the eyes of four Special Forces officers who are all headed to Berlin to investigate rumours that the Nazis are expanding their control without Hitler. Call of Duty fans won’t have to wait long to see how sledgehammers next turn out, as the shooter is only a couple of weeks away from release.
Call of Duty: Vanguard received an official launch trailer today, October 17, with Jack White’s “Taking Me Back” music accompanying the on-screen action. Most significantly, the video’s conclusion contains information that fans who pre-ordered Vanguard online should remember. On November 9 at 9:00 p.m. PST, the title will be available to play for digital pre-orders. However, this launch window is only for console users in North America. Console users in other territories should expect the shooter to go live at midnight local time, according to CharlieIntel on Twitter. The global PC release will happen at the same time, at an indeterminate time.
*The time reflect above is for North America players on consoles only.
PC will launch globally at the same time (to be announced).
Console players in other regions – game available midnight local time on Nov. 5.

All of the above should be recognisable to those who experienced the launch of the Black Ops Cold War last fall. Vanguard’s synchronised global PC release is a rehash of Activision’s launch strategy around a year ago.
Aside from Vanguard-related leaks, information regarding the game is still coming out in bits and pieces. Last week, Activision showed off the Zombies mode for the first time in a two-minute reveal trailer that announced the return of the famous Shi No Numa map, which debuted in 2009’s World at War.
On November 5, Call of Duty: Vanguard will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
