Resident Evil 7 has sold 10 million copies worldwide, making it Capcom’s second best-selling game to date.
According to the most recent sales update, Resident Evil 7 has sold 10 million units worldwide, making it Capcom’s second best-selling game to date. Monster Hunter World became Capcom’s best-selling game in March 2018, with 7.5 million copies sold worldwide. The action RPG achieved such a remarkable feat ahead of its PC release, outperforming the publisher’s previous products on PS4 and Xbox One alone. In the three years since then, Monster Hunter World has more than doubled that figure, surpassing the 17.1 million mark in May. Capcom now has yet another reason to rejoice.
Resident Evil 7‘s sales have now surpassed 10 million copies, according to a tweet from Capcom Dev 1 on Twitter. Given its status as Capcom’s second best-selling title of all time, this achievement further cements the first-person experience’s place in its ranks. The following is a link to a celebratory tweet:

Recent Resident Evil releases continue to sell like hotcakes. The Resident Evil 2 remake, which hit stores in January 2019, sits at approximately 9 million copies sold. Within two months of its release, RE Village crossed the 4.5 million milestones. At this rate, both RE2 and this year’s RE Village adventure are well on their way to hitting the coveted 10 million copies sold mark, as well.
Resident Evil 7 is available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in digital and physical formats.
