A teaser for God of War’s PC release in 2018 shows off a slew of new improvements, including NVIDIA Reflex support and better reflections.
Improved shadows, improved reflections, and NVIDIA DLSS support are all featured in a new Features teaser for God of War’s impending PC edition. The former Greek God of War, Kratos, embarks on a big mission with his young son Atreus in Sony Santa Monica’s renowned 2018 release. God of War for PC will be released on Steam in January 2022, as announced in October.
God of War, which debuted as a PlayStation 4 exclusive in 2018, is a new chapter in the epic action franchise. Players stepped into the blood-soaked shoes of a Spartan demigod named Kratos in the first God of War epic in 2005. Kratos hacked his way through the Greek pantheon of gods, destroying all of Greece in the process, possessed by fury and a need for vengeance. The 2018 entry of the series shifted the tale to Norse mythology and added a significant layer of complexity in the introduction of Kratos’ son Atreus. Kratos tries to teach Atreus about survival throughout the emotional trip, while Atreus assists Kratos in regaining his humanity. God of War will get Nvidia DLSS compatibility, as well as additional improvements, including a panoramic widescreen display setting, in the upcoming PC edition.
IGN released a God of War PC Features trailer to YouTube, showing how the Norse adventure looks better on a powerful computer. The upcoming rerelease includes notable enhancements such as a performance boost from Nvidia Deep Learning Super Sampling, which employs artificial intelligence to boost graphics performance. Meanwhile, NVIDIA Reflex support will reduce lag and improve the responsiveness of God of War’s violent battle. Improved reflections and higher-resolution shadows will also aid PC gamers in immersing themselves in Kratos and Atreus’ perilous adventure.
