Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI Announce Their Windows 11-Compatible Motherboards

Windows 11’s system requirements can sometimes be confusing. The three major motherboard companies have made it clear.

The system requirements for Windows 11 have created a lot of confusion on the internet. Users don’t know what will or won’t work with this new operating system. Fortunately, MSI, Gigabyte, and Asus all have lists of compatible hardware with Windows 11. This makes it easy to build a PC without any additional hassle.

Windows 11: Ready for the Next Generation of Hardware

Hexus has compiled all manufacturer announcements about which motherboards will be compatible with Windows 11 straight out of the box.

These lists are primarily focused on TPM 2.0. However, because TPM 2.0 is a requirement for Windows 11, each company has compiled a list with motherboards that meet the criteria.

ASUS is the first. Check the Windows 11 installation guide page to see if your ASUS motherboards are compatible. ASUS also offers a complete list of compatible systems for pre-built computers and laptops purchased from the company.

You’re in luck if you are interested in Gigabyte motherboards. According to the company’s press release website:

… The BIOS of series motherboards including Intel(r), X299 and C232, C232, C236, or C246, 200-300, 400, 500 lineups, and AMD TRX40 motherboards are ready for TPM 2.0 function. This allows them to pass the upgraded Windows 11 OS verification.

MSI Gaming posted its announcement on the MSI Gaming Subreddit. The list includes motherboards that support TPM 2.0. However, it does not necessarily indicate that all boards on the MSI Gaming subreddit are compatible with Windows 11.
