your apple id and phone number are now being used for imessage and facetime on a new iphone

Here we can see “your apple id and phone number are now being used for iMessage and facetime on a new iPhone”

How to fix ‘Your Apple ID and phone number are now getting used for iMessage and FaceTime on a replacement iPhone.”

Your Apple ID is often found to send and receive iMessage, and FaceTime calls on multiple Appl devices. This includes iPhones, iPads, and various Macs that you’re signed into. The messages that you send and receive are synced across all of your devices. That said, since iMessage are some things that some carriers may charge for, you’ve got to enable it on a tool manually.

Your Apple ID and phone number are now getting used on a replacement iPhone.

If you haven’t recently found out a replacement Apple device, otherwise you haven’t recently enabled iMessage and FaceTime on an Apple device, this alert appearing on your screen is cause for alarm. Here’s what you ought to do.

    Delayed activation alert

Most alerts associated with activity around your Apple ID appear immediately, e.g., once you check-in and wish the 2FA code. However, an equivalent doesn’t always hold for this message. the subsequent events can trigger this message, albeit the event happened a couple of days ago.

    • I am setting up a replacement iOS or macOS device and enabling iMessage and FaceTime thereon.
    • It turns on a tool with both iMessage and FaceTime-enabled after the device has been off for an extended time. The device must be ready to hook up with the web goodbye as it’s on.

    Checking iMessage and FaceTime devices

If you’re unsure if one of the above events triggered the notification, you’ll quickly check which devices your Apple ID is getting used on. But, of course, you’ll do that from any Apple device.

    iPhone/iPad

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap your Name/profile at the very top.
    3. Scroll down, and you’ll see an inventory of all devices that are using your Apple ID.

    Mac

    1. Open the System Preferences app.
    2. Click Apple ID on the primary row.
    3. In the column on the left, you’ll see an inventory of all devices using your Apple ID.

    Conclusion

If you see a tool that you don’t recognize, you’ll select it and sign out of it from your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or signing in to your Apple ID during a browser. You ought to change your password afterward. The alert itself does tell you the name of the device, i.e., the user-friendly name that your Apple ID was signed in on. That alone should help. If you’ve given several devices an equivalent term, considering modifying them so that they’re easier to spot from the alert if it reappears.

    User Questions:

    1. My iMessage isn’t syncing to my new iPhone – what to do?

I went from an iPhone 5s to iPhone 8. Verizon told me that my old iPhone would automatically pack up after a short time, but just just in case, I restarted it, put it on airplane mode, and shut it off. However, with my old phone, I want to use iMessage on my laptop very quickly since it connected to my phone via apple ID. However, it now won’t sync any messages from my new iPhone. I still have an equivalent Apple ID, and on my iPhone, I double-checked that my apple ID still allowed my notes to be synced through my email. I also went on my iMessage preferences on my laptop and made bound to enable the account and messages in iCloud.

    2. iMessage and FaceTime activation error

I bought my mom an iPad; she has no iPhone. I would like to line up iMessage and FaceTime for her. I created a Gmail account and use it for AppleID, but it doesn’t work for iMessage or FaceTime. Whenever I check-in for iMessage or FaceTime, I buy the following error: iMessage Activation: a mistake occurred during activation. Try again. the sole thing I can consider is that her Apple ID isn’t related to any phone number/iPhone. I read you’ll have a private account for FaceTime/iMessage without a phone number – right?

    3. Not able to activate iMessage & FaceTime using the phone number

My iMessage and FaceTime are activated and connected with my Apple ID, but my phone number isn’t verified. It wont to work before. Now I’m in IOS 14. Also, I attempted all solutions from other posts within the forum asking me to re-insert SIM Card, Reset network settings, etc.

    4. Apple Id getting used to a tool during a location I’m not in

Constantly receiving messages shooting up on my iPhone 5s that state “Apple ID check-in requested (my email) Your Apple ID is getting used to check in to an iPhone near London, England”> don’t allow / Allow

    I sleep in North Wales.

I’ve reset my password several times, but an equivalent issue occurs. Does this mean someone is using my apple id OR is it something to try with location services? I have never been to London in over a year.

    5. What does this mean your Apple ID and phone number are now getting used for iMessage on a replacement iPhone?

1 Answer. This might mean that somebody is logged under your AppleID on another phone. Change your AppleID password and security questions as soon as you’ll. Changing the password will log everyone out of the AppleID, but changing the password won’t allow the opposite iPhone back onto the AppleID.
