Introduction to Windows Photo Viewer

Windows Photo Viewer wont to be called Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, which is getting used as a picture viewer with the Windows NT OS family.

How to Install Windows Photo Viewer on Windows 10

Microsoft replaced Windows Photo Viewer with Windows Photos app in Windows 10. While the Photos app may be a decent replacement, the Photo Viewer may be a better choice to slide through your photos.

If the Windows Photo Viewer is missing on your computer, here is how to restore Windows Photo Viewer on Windows 10.

Install Windows Photo Viewer using Registry Hack

If you upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7, you’d still find the Photo Viewer app installed.

Right-click on the image that you want to open. Click on Open With and choose Windows Photo Viewer. If not, click on More apps, then find Photo Viewer within the list.

If the Photo Viewer app isn’t available, follow this registry hack by TenForum to revive the app in Windows 10 below.

1. On your desktop, right-click on the space.
2. Select New > Text Document.
