Most of Nokia‘s smart home products are standard fare, like a dial to regulate light and a paddle switch. However, one of the switches purchasable is named a “keypad” and comes with four push switches in one unit.

The idea behind the keypad is that you can assign each button with a selected lightscape. So, for instance, if you would like to regulate the brightness of your bulbs with the press of a button, you’ll assign each switch to different levels of sunshine and press the one that tickles your fancy at any given time.

Best of all, Nokia can do all the button labeling for you. for a few extra cash, you’ll order a custom-made engraved panel that has whatever you wish on each button. Want to possess a panel that describes the luminosity for every button? How about buttons for work, play, cinema, or other activities? You name it, Nokia will make it.

Nokia: Connecting People (With Their Lights)

Nokia may be a surprise entry within the smart home field, but it’s not an unwelcome one. The company’s starting range is already looking strong, and that we have high hopes that Nokia will continue with this promising trend.
