We’ve known for a short time that a replacement Star Wars LEGO game is inbound, but it — like many things last year — ended up delayed. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was originally scheduled to hit digital shelves last year but was soon delayed until early 2021, getting delayed once more then. If there’s any excellent news, however, it’s that fans finally have a replacement trailer to enjoy.
The new LEGO Star Wars game comes from TT Games, which said back on April 4 that the game has been delayed indefinitely but that it’ll give fans a launch date “as soon as possible.” Unfortunately, we still don’t have that launch date, but the game remains inbound, evidenced by the new trailer that premiered during Gamescon 2021.
The new trailer gives fans two minutes of action, a glance at the characters, a number of the familiar LEGO game humour, and even some bits of gameplay. We see everyone from young Anakin and Qui-Gon Jinn to older Luke Skywalker and Jedi-in-training Rey. It appears the game will pull from the vast Skywalker storey spanning from a replacement Hope through to the newest trilogy.
Star Wars fans will note scenes from the most important moments within the sci-fi universe, also as some fun embellishments and changes for the sake of humour — like Rey having her concentration on the Force broken when Chewbacca decides to stay his head into the scene for a fast pet.
Overall, the game looks promising and amusing because of the past instalments within the LEGO game franchise. the large question remains, however: when will LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga finally be available? TT Games hasn’t been said yet, but hopefully, it’ll arrive in time for the vacation.
