How to Take a Screenshot on Windows

- The Print Screen button on your computer keyboard sometimes takes a screenshot and save it as a document, have a screenshot with no storing it as a document, or have a screenshot of just one window (instead of the entire display ).
- The printing screen could be tagged as “PrtScn,” “PrntScrn,” “Printing Scr,” or anything comparable. On many keyboards, the switch is generally located between F12 and Scroll Lock. You might need to press on the “Function” or even the “Fn” key to get the Print Screen feature on notebook keyboards.
Procedure:
To Save Your Screenshots as a File
- Press the Windows Key + PrtScn on your computer.
- If you are using a tablet computer, press on the “Windows symbol button volume down .” On some notebooks and other devices, you might want to press on the “Windows logo key + Ctrl + PrtScn” or even “Windows logo key + Fn + PrtScn” keys rather than Assess your laptop’s manual to learn more.
- The display will dim for an instant, and you’ll observe the screenshot look like a document in a folder entitled “Screenshots” within the default “Pictures” folder. The screenshot is automatically tagged with a few.
To Take a Screenshot Without Saving
- Press the PrtScn key. A screenshot of the screen is copied to the clipboard.
- Open your favorite picture editor, word processor, or alternative app that you would like to use the picture in.
- Choose Edit > Paste to paste the screenshot where you prefer. The measurements of the picture are going to be exactly like your own desktop resolution.

To Take a Screenshot of Only One Window
- Click the title bar of this window that you would like to catch.
- Press Alt + PrtScn. A screenshot of the active window will be copied to the clipboard, as in the previous section.
- Paste it in your favorite image editor or record editor.
