Here we can see, “google search history not mine”
My search history in Google is not mine. What should I do?
1. Sign out from other devices
It is possible that you forgot to sign off from a tool that’s not yours. So, now another person is using that device together with your account logged on.
You can solve that quite quickly:
- Go to Gmail.
- Click Details from the rock bottom right corner of the window.
- Click on Sign out all other web sessions.
2. Disable extensions
The OP added that, for an unknown reason, a VPN extension caused this issue. So, by disabling it, the Google search history went back to normal.
- Click on the vertical dots from the upper-right corner of Google Chrome.
- Go to More tools.
- Select Extensions.
- Disable the extensions, especially those that look more untrustworthy. Also, use the method of elimination to seek out out which one causes the matter.
For other browsers, the steps may vary, but the answer remains the same: disable the problematic extensions.
3. Switch to UR Browser
UR Browser is a superb browsing solution that doesn’t save your search history.
So, if you’re curious about trying it out, you’ll use the download link below.
Conclusion
To find unknown searches in your Google history is certainly not a pleasing surprise. Still, in many cases, things aren’t as serious as they appear. You’ll solve this problem with one of the solutions described above.
User Questions:
- random search history that’s not my appearing. Frustrating.
Since a few days ago, I even have random search history for weird LinkedIn profiles that don’t exist appearing on my google search history. I’ve changed my password and enabled 2fa. I’ve even factory resettled my phone, but nothing works. Google activity says that those searches come from my phone and laptop; I do not understand what’s happening. I’ve tried almost everything I can consider, but nothing seems to figure. Can someone please help me?
- Browser history, Not mine?
My Browser history is filled with searches that neither my wife nor I have made ( porn sites, herpes & HIV cures, weird blog sites, hairy women? Hairy men? the list goes on). The worrying thing is that once I clear the history and verify that there’s nothing there, the searches are there again a couple of days later, plus some other even more warped versions ( today includes ‘Grannies with Syphilis’ and ‘Bleach and STI’s?
- My Search history has searches I never made, which too in Russian, which I do not understand
when we click on the Googles search bar; it shows up in recent searches below it right, just in case we would like to look for something again? Well, I have been getting inquiries I have never made. That too in RUSSIAN, a language I do not even understand.
I’ve tried changing my password and selecting the “log out of all systems” Option once I did it. It worked, and that I needed to re-check in from my phone and laptop. But the matter started recurring, and now I’m at a loss.
If I have been hacked, then I do not know what other security could also be Compromised.
