The battle royale’s first Chapter 3 teaser appears to have leaked early on TikTok, with the end of Fortnite Chapter 2 nearing.
With the release of Fortnite Chapter 3 rapidly approaching, leaked advertising has shown the first Chapter 3 teaser, and a sneak peek at the new area. Epic Games’ popular battle royale is noted for its big, well-planned disclosures and surprises and its leaky nature. Though accidental, Fortnite leaks have acted as persistent viral marketing for the game, with its online community on the lookout for any Chapter 3 details.
According to a recent clip and Epic release, the finale of Fortnite Chapter 2 will be on December 4. Beginning in 2019, Chapter 2 has flooded, modified, and transformed areas of the map with each passing season, culminating in the present Chapter 2 Season 8 map layout. The Chapter 2 climax, “The End,” will feature a confrontation between players and The Cube Queen, as well as the enigmatic Pyramid POI, in a one-time event that will likely tap into the same amount of cinematic flair as the move away from Chapter 1. It’s nearly a given that this fight will serve as the map’s opening in Fortnite Chapter 3, but how it will play out is still unknown.

The final picture may indicate the spectacle that Fortnite’s The End event would provide for live viewers, as the entire island is seen flipping over to repel an invading force of UFOs while Jonesy looks on. Though this isn’t the first Chapter 3 leak (an earlier Fortnite Chapter 3 loading screen leak revealed key art from the Chapter 2 finale teaser before it aired), it does provide a glimpse into Chapter 2’s conclusion and Chapter 3’s map refresh. The threatening flying saucers and likely Cube Queen-commanded mothership seen hovering over The Island are extraterrestrial in origin, implying that the alien invasion motif of Chapter 2 Season 7 will be revisited during The End event. The disc-shaped UFOs resemble Season 7’s Mothership, whose destruction may have been the start of a much larger invasion.
Thanks to the TikTok leak, we got a first glance at the Chapter 3 map, but it was a very quick and limited one. For the time being, everything that happens in Fortnite Chapter 3 is a mystery, and the full events of Chapter 2’s end are unlikely to be spoiled by the 30-second preview. While there have been some hints, the conclusion of Fortnite Chapter 2 and the creation of Chapter 3’s map will be completely detailed on December 4.
