The Fortnite Chapter 3 Loading Screen Has Leaked, Indicating That Chapter 2 Will End Soon

Epic Games may soon stop the free-to-play game’s Chapter 2 run, according to leaked Fortnite loading screens going into Chapter 3.

The end of Fortnite Chapter 2 has been marked by leaked loading screens, indicating that Chapter 3 will begin soon. This isn’t the first time that information about Fortnite Chapter 3 has appeared on the internet. Players began piecing together Epic Games’ potential to place subtle teasers about what’s coming next in-game earlier this month.

In Chapter 2, a book-reading emoticon with text reading “end of the chapter” is one of the clues. In addition, the Cube Queen persona introduced items in Season 8 that directly reference the current map’s time running out. The Cube Queen’s reappearance as a key character in the arc for Chapter 3 was hinted at in July leaks, which indicated her arrival in Season 8 and hinted at her anticipated comeback as an integral figure in the arc for Chapter 3. Several Fortnite-focused YouTubers and streamers have already claimed to have received word that Chapter 2 will not be available for long. Epic has yet to confirm any of the Fortnite Chapter 3 leaks as of this writing.

A “The Chapter 2 Finale” tag appears on a leaked event loading screen published by Fortnite news account Shiina, adding to the evidence that Chapter 3 might begin by the end of the year. It’s also worth noting that this isn’t the only leaked photograph of its kind doing the rounds. Similarly, Twitter user InTheShade – Fortnite Leaks uploaded a screenshot of a live event playlist called “The End.” To put it another way, this means Fortnite Chapter 2 isn’t going to last much longer. Both screenshots in question can be found in the tweets linked below.

The screenshots above became viral just a few days ago, on November 16, the same day Epic Games released the Naruto crossover content for Fortnite. The studio has remained silent on the Chapter 3 rumours and speculation yet again; however, there’s little to doubt the accuracy of the leaks.

Fortnite Chapter 2 was released in the fall of 2019, ushering in the 11th season and a new map. Since then, seven more seasons have aired, with Season 8 set to wrap up in just a few weeks on December 5. According to recent sources, Epic may forego the ninth season for Chapter 2 and instead jump right into the much anticipated third chapter. Everything will be clear in roughly two weeks, whatever the firm decides.

Fortnite is available on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Android devices as a free-to-play title.
