Rockstar Games has officially unveiled the soundtrack listings for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition ahead of its release, confirming that the tunes omitted from previous re-released editions are still absent. The long-awaited Grand Theft Auto III remaster is now available digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, with a physical release on December 7. Players may prepare their consoles ahead of time by pre-loading all three remastered games before the collection launches on November 11 at 10 a.m. EST.

The Grand Theft Auto trilogy remaster is set to include revamped versions of the three PS2 series titles – Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – with various upgrades, such as graphical improvements and modernized controls, and was announced in October following months of rumors and speculations. Though gameplay footage has been rare since the release of the first complete trailer, a series of leaked early gameplay videos of the GTA Trilogy circulating online by gamers have provided a better idea of what to anticipate from the impending remasters. These include first looks at the game’s next-generation aesthetics, contemporary gunplay akin to Grand Theft Auto V, and the return of its renowned soundtracks, which have made a lasting impression on those who have played Rockstar’s legendary games.

Rockstar Games described the classic soundtrack lists displayed on their radios for the impending GTA trilogy remaster in a press release supplied to Screen Rant, as well as confirming that some tracks from the previously re-released versions were still unavailable in the collection. When Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas were re-released in 2014 on mobile devices, and for the PS3/PS4, tracks by Michael Jackson, Rage Against The Machine, and a few other musicians were initially deleted, except Grand Theft Auto 3, which was not altered. Surprisingly, the list may not be exhaustive since newly released gameplay footage of the remasters appears to feature tracks from Sigue Sigue Sputnik, The Buggles, and Aneka that were not included on the list. Despite this, the restored collection will include nearly 200 songs throughout all three games, broadcast on 29 distinct radio stations.

Radio stations have long been a component of Grand Theft Auto’s ambiance, serving as mementos for players and as a means for Rockstar to create its universe through humorous commercials. Fans are anticipating a brand-new Grand Theft Auto game featuring new radio stations, and it appears like Rockstar is completely prepared to deliver. Snoop Dogg recently claimed that Dr. Dre, the famous rapper, and CEO of Beats Electronics, had been in the studio working on new music for a future Grand Theft Auto project with the developer, thrilling many fans who are excited to see that progress is being made on the series’ next chapter.

The tracklisting for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has been unveiled, with just a few tracks missing from the original release. Although the soundtracks distinguish the games, due to expiration rights, the loss of music from Grand Theft Auto is unavoidable, and gamers should expect it in all future Rockstar games.

On PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and Xbox One, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be released. It will be released on November 11, 2021, for Nintendo Switch and PC, and in H1 2022 for iOS and Android.
