Here we can see “Unable to access Rockstar servers. activation of GTA v requires an internet connection”
Unable to access Rockstar Servers (Solution Found!)
I was having this problem, and damn, there watched every video, read every thread I can find everywhere on the web, and still couldn’t fix my problem…
So I started fucking around with my firewall and glued this issue. I assume whenever you reinstall GTA V, it saves your old firewall settings? IDK I’m unsure.
But ya
Step 1: Click your start button at rock bottom left corner and begin typing “allow an app through Windows Firewall“
Step 2: Open it up and click on “change details“. It’ll highlight.
Step 3: Scroll right down to find “Grand Theft Auto V” you would possibly HAVE A SHITLOAD OF THEM (like 4 or 5, lol) to confirm every box is checked.
Step 4: If you see GTA V rather than grand larceny Auto V, check them off to be safe. I even have Every single box checked off, so I do know it works.
Hopefully, this solved a number of you guys’ problems because my ass started getting stressed, lol.
User Questions:
- Unable to access Rockstar servers on non-Steam versions of GTAV on PC
Question: I’m getting the error ‘Unable to access Rockstar servers. Activation requires an online connection. Please check your connection and click on Retry or click Cancel to quit. I can’t start my copy of a non-Steam version of GTAV on PC. I used to be ready to check in before and have already activated the sport. How am I able to fix this?
Answer: If the Social Club version (listed within the lower right-hand corner of the error screen) is 2.0.2.5 or lower, your version of Social Club must be updated to the Rockstar Games Launcher.
Install the newest version of the Rockstar Games Launcher and permit the sport to update. This could resolve the error and permit access to Rockstar servers.
- I’m having a problem with grand larceny Auto V where it says Unable to access Rockstar servers. Activation of GTA V requires an online connection despite having an online connection that works with everything else. Thus far, I even have tried reinstall, changing DNS, flushing DNS, resetting IP, resetting the router, mobile hotspot, offline mode, reinstall social club, VPN, and launching as a non-steam game through steam (I have a retail disc version btw). I have also disabled all anti-virus (including windows defender) and have just reinstalled it for the second time. I even have tried everything I can consider to no avail. Any ideas?
- Hi guys. I have a drag with installing GTA V. I even have bought it from CD keys, and that I am given a code to activate it on rockstar servers. I even have done this, and that I have gotten a download link. From here, I logged into a social club and tried to start out installing GTA V.
However, it says, “Unable to access Rockstar servers. Activation of GTA V requires an online connection. Please check your connection and click on Retry or click Cancel to quit.”
I know surely that I even have an online connection and at an honest speed. I even have tried to travel into my firewall settings to ascertain if it had been being blocked. However, GTAV doesn’t show there because it’s not been installed yet. I’ve tried all of the suggestions on google, like deleting the social club folder, trying to permit it through a firewall alongside employing a VPN
As I used a VPN, and it still didn’t work, would I be right in assuming that it does not drag with my router filter settings?
