A Battlefield 2042 open beta player pulled off a hilarious stunt by hooking onto the map’s rocket just as it was about to launch.
It was a hilarious stunt when a Battlefield 2042 beta player successfully connected onto a rocket and rocketed up into the sky. Battlefield 2042, the latest installment in the iconic first-person shooter genre, launched an open beta this weekend, allowing anybody to download and play the game, albeit those who preordered were given access to the open beta a few days early. With only a little more than a month until Battlefield 2042 releases on November 19, 2021, the open beta will not only allow more people to try out the game and possibly preorder it, but it will also allow the developers to see how the game will perform once a large number of people has accessed it.
Notably, the Battlefield 2042 that players are presently playing in the open beta may differ slightly from the final version released next month. According to developer DICE, the available beta version of the game is a few months old. According to the firm, this means that some of the issues players are experiencing in the open beta will be repaired or remedied by the time the game officially launches in November.
The hilarious scene was captured in a short video by YouTube channel ChillPotato, which shows them watching the rocket from the game’s Orbital area begin to lift off. Their comrade, stationed on the rocket launch platform, latches onto the missile with their grappling hook. The player clings to the ledge for as long as they can before plummeting to their doom from the sky. The grappling hook is one of the new specialized skills in Battlefield 2042, which replaces the previous game’s class system.
Only the Orbital map and the Conquest game style were available in the open beta. However, it gave players the chance to try out the game’s “Levolution” function, which was first featured in Battlefield 4. This allows players to alter the map’s components depending on their activities substantially. In Orbital, players will have the option of allowing the map’s rocket to safely launch, as shown in the video, or causing it to explode on the launchpad.
The grappling hook can grab onto the rocket, which is only one of many possible pranks in the game. While it’s unclear whether these types of odd techniques will be allowed in the final round, it’s safe to assume that players will try to make the most of the game’s specialized powers. When Battlefield 2042 opens next month, there’s a lot for fans to look forward to seeing and doing.
On November 19, 2021, Battlefield 2042 will be released for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.
