How to Use an Xbox 360 Controller on Xbox One
If your Xbox One controller is broken, or if you would like to attach two controllers for multiplayer purposes, you’ve got to come to the proper place. This guide explains how you’ll connect your wired or wireless Xbox 360 controller to Xbox one and play multiplayer or other split-screen games.
Can you use an Xbox 360 controller on Xbox one?
Xbox 360 controller isn’t compatible with Xbox One console; thus, you’ll not use it natively, but if you’ve got a laptop or desktop with Windows 10, you’ll connect both wired and wireless Xbox 360 controllers to your Xbox One or Xbox One S console.
Method:
Step 1: Connect your Xbox One to your laptop or desktop (If it’s already connected, skip to step 2.)
You need to attach your Xbox One to your Windows 10 computer and find the Xbox streaming app. There are three methods of connecting your Xbox one to your computer.
- With an HDMI cable (requires an HDMI input port on your computer)
- With a USB capture card
- With Wi-Fi or ethernet connection

Once it’s downloaded, log in to your Xbox account and switch on your Xbox One. Click on “Connection” on the left vertical bar of icons, and both devices are going to be connected.

Step 2: Connect your Xbox 360 controller to your computer.
Connect the controller to the USB port of the pc. If you’ve got a wireless Xbox 360 controller, you’ll connect its wireless receiver. Step 3: Click on the Stream button.
Click on the Stream button and follow the on-screen instructions; if you’ve got already set up streaming, you’ll start playing now.
