Galaxy S22 Ultra telephoto camera might not get upgraded

The Galaxy S22 is thus far shaping up to be an assortment. It’s expected to be the primary smartphone to use the upcoming AMD-augmented Exynos 2200, but most models sold worldwide won’t use that processor. There’s some mention of the phone’s new camera systems. Still, Samsung has reportedly decided not to use its new Under-Panel Camera employed on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 to some controversy. Now a replacement report suggests that a number of the cameras on the highest-end Galaxy S22 Ultra model could be an equivalent as last year’s set, though it’s going to have a dress-up sleeve to save lots of the day.

Getting obviate the hype-only “Space Zoom” of the Galaxy S20 last year, Samsung opted to place two telephoto cameras within the Galaxy S21 Ultra this year instead. Both used 10MP sensors but provided different levels of zoom, one at 3x optical zoom maximum and another at 10x optical zoom because of a periscope style lens.

According to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S22 Ultra next year would have two 10MP telephoto cameras again, one among which can offer an equivalent 10x optical zoom. The other’s capability remains unknown, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if it’s also an equivalent as last year’s. The report also considers that the cameras may have one upgrade that would require a minimum of structure for that.

There are rumours that Samsung is functioning on a “continuous zoom” or stepless variable zoom. The lenses inside the camera module are ready to smoothly and freely slide into any position. It will not be an enormous improvement, but it lays the groundwork for future improvements therein area. This is often almost like the technology that OPPO just revealed and is hoping to launch in phones early next year.

The Galaxy S22 series is also expected to use a replacement RGBW sensor to improve the phone’s light input. However, in terms of upgrades, the Galaxy S22+ could see the most critical jump compared to its predecessor. Unfortunately, it’d even have the essential downgrade when it involves battery capacity.
