Stardew Valley Mod Lets You Renovate A Little Red Schoolhouse

A new Stardew Valley mod adds an old, dilapidated red schoolhouse to Pelican Town, which players can renovate and restore.

A new Stardew Valley mod allows you to renovate a small red schoolhouse. Stardew Valley is undoubtedly one of the most successful indie games of the last half-decade, and it is widely credited with reviving the farming life simulator genre, which was popularised by Harvest Moon, from which Stardew Valley drew inspiration. Since the game’s initial release in 2016, developer Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has added a slew of new features and content, including Stardew Valley’s massive 1.5 update, which included, among other things, a brand new area for players to explore.

While Stardew Valley has more than enough content to satisfy the majority of players, some aspects of the game could be improved, such as the variety of livestock species and the lack of a school in Pelican Town, to name a few. Vincent and Jas are currently the only children in the town, and Penny only tutors them at the town’s museum. Unfortunately, updates to the game may be delayed, if at all, as Barone recently stated that he is currently working on his next project.

xiddav of Nexus Mods created the Little Red School House mod for Stardew Valley. It adds an old, dilapidated schoolhouse to Pelican Town, close to the playground. Requests on the special orders board can be used to start fixing it up. Players will need to bring the items for the special orders to the woodpile in the dilapidated schoolhouse to finish them, according to xiddav. Penny, Jas, and Vincent will begin showing up at the school once it has been repaired. Russel, the class hamster, is also present. Players expecting to see Leo at the schoolhouse will have to wait a little longer, as xiddav has yet to meet him in their game and doesn’t want to give anything away before releasing Leo for the mod.

While Stardew Valley development has slowed significantly, the game’s modding community is still very active, as evidenced by xiddav’s Little Red School House mod. By simply adding different mods based on their preferences, players can easily experience new features, improve the game’s quality of life, and keep it feeling fresh. Many Stardew Valley mods are available for players to try out, with some of them becoming extremely popular among the game’s community.

It’s always exciting to see fans of Stardew Valley make their mods to improve their gameplay and share them with others. Even though the Little Red School House mod is small compared to other mods, the addition of a schoolhouse to Pelican Town is a welcome sight for many of the game’s players.

Stardew Valley is now available on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation Vita, iOS, and Android.
