Now anyone can play Xbox games on iPhone and iPad

Xbox Cloud Gaming is now available to all iPhone, iPad and Windows 10 users who want it. The beta version has been available for months, but you will need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription to use the gaming service. This allows you to play over 100 console-quality games.

Microsoft announced the news on Monday. In a blog post, Catherine Gluckstein, head of Xbox Cloud Gaming, announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming would be available starting today to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Members with Windows 10 PCs, Apple phones, and tablets.

Although the service is still in beta, it is open to anyone who wishes to test it. Go to xbox.com/play to sign up.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is available on Safari. It’s not an app.

You won’t find an Xbox Cloud Gaming app in the App store. Apple has placed restrictions on cloud-gaming apps that are allowed to be listed in the App Shop. Microsoft created a web application for its service as a solution.

The games are not run on local computers. The servers handle this job and stream the action to players. Gluckstein announced Monday that performance was improved after Microsoft datacenters were upgraded to “the fastest and most powerful Xbox hardware.” This will improve load times as well as frame rates.

iPhone requires an internet connection of 10 Mbps and higher, while iPad requires a connection of 20 Mbps and higher.

An iPad or iPad user can use a compatible Bluetooth controller. Both iOS and iPadOS support a variety of wireless Xbox controllers. Playstation controllers should also work. You can also use the on-screen controls.
