Is There A Headphone Jack On The Galaxy S21 FE? Here’s What You Need to Know

Is There A Headphone Jack On The Galaxy S21 FE? Here's What You Need to Know

In 2022, finding a phone with a 3.5mm headphone port will be extremely difficult. The Galaxy S21 FE handles the endangered feature in the following way.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE boasts many features, like a large display and a fast processor, but does it also have a 3.5mm headphone jack? The S21 FE, billed as a ‘Fan Edition’ version of the normal S21, contains everything a Samsung fan could want. In many ways, the phone lives up to its promise. It includes a 6.5-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, triple back cameras, Android 12 pre-installed, and is available in various colours.

However, no matter how hard a business attempts to promote a phone to enthusiasts and loyalists, some trends can’t be avoided. For example, last year’s Galaxy S20 FE kept the microSD card slot. Still, it also eliminated the 3.5mm headphone jack, which has been increasingly common after Apple ditched it with the iPhone 7 in 2016.

Although some fans had hoped it would return on the S21 FE, this is unfortunately not the case. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack on the Galaxy S21 FE. Samsung used to be one of the most vocal supporters of the headphone jack, but it’s now clearly absent from nearly all of its flagship phones in 2022. In addition, there is no standard headphone jack on either of the S21 FE, S21, S21+, or S21 Ultra models.

How to Listen to Music Without Using Headphones Jack

While the lack of a headphone jack is inconvenient, it’s a lot less of a problem than a few years ago. For starters, corded headphones with a USB-C connector are becoming increasingly popular. Wired USB-C headphones are a good alternative to wired 3.5mm headphones and can be found for less than $15 on Amazon. Likewise, USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapters is readily available. While it isn’t included with the S21 FE, Samsung’s official adapter is available for more than $10 on Amazon.

Bluetooth headphones, of course, are available. Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 2 retail for $150, but they’re frequently sold for significantly less. They pair easily with the S21 FE, provide good audio quality, include active noise cancellation, and have a battery life of 7.5 hours. There are also more affordable solutions, such as the Pixel Buds A-Series, Amazon Echo Buds, Galaxy Buds Live, etc.

That’s all there is to say on the subject. Would a headphone jack on the S21 FE be useful? It would, of course. However, given the condition of the smartphone business, it’s no surprise that the phone lacks one. If you have an adapter, USB-C headphones, or a pair of wireless buds, the lack of a headphone port should not be an issue.
