Bloomberg's Gurman details big Apple Watch Series 7 update ahead of launch

Apple features a big few weeks coming with the arrival of the latest iPhones and Apple Watches just the tip of the iceberg. The latter is about to bring a rare Apple Watch design change, and Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has been reiterating previous thoughts thereon subject.

According to Gurman’s weekly Power On newsletter, the upcoming Apple Watch Series 7 refresh will bring with it “a little bit of a redesign, with flatter displays and updated screen technology.” That redesign will also see some new internals, with a faster processor at the highest list of changes.

Apple’s annual Apple Watch refreshes tend to bring with them faster processors, but a change to the exterior design is rare — beyond a replacement colour here and there. The arrival of a flatter display is also predicted to mean a change to the general case design, with the somewhat bulbous chassis expected to urge its flattened look.

Apple has also been rumoured to possess a fetching green Apple Watch in its labs, which would open up an entirely new world for those who wish to accessorize their watches with colourful bands and whatnot.

All being well, we expect Apple to announce Apple Watch Series 7 within the subsequent few weeks, instantly making it the simplest Apple Watch ever. While most of the eye is understandably on iPhone 13, don’t underestimate the attraction of a fresh new Apple await potential wearable buyers.
