Animal Crossing Player Recreates Breath of the Wild's Lurelin Village

A dedicated Nintendo fan has recreated Lurelin Village from Breath of the Wild on their Animal Crossing island, creating one of the most peaceful crossovers yet.

On their Animal Crossing: New Horizons island, a Nintendo fan recreated Lurelin Village from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Both games have been huge hits for Nintendo, with Animal Crossing: New Horizons is widely credited with making 2020 a lot more bearable. Its wholesome setting and island-hopping mechanics provided some much-needed respite for its players when it was released, which happened to coincide with many of the world’s lockdowns.

Meanwhile, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been out for more than four years. However, it has stood the test of time, with players discovering new secrets and gameplay mechanics hidden throughout Hyrule’s vast map. Players are still enjoying Breath of the Wild’s sprawling and diverse world long after they have liberated the Divine Beasts and defeated Calamity Ganon, making it one of the Nintendo Switch’s most iconic games. Lurelin Village is one of the most beautiful locations in Breath of the Wild, and this tropical hideaway is tucked away on the East Necluda coast. While there are no key storey objectives in this area, meaning that players do not need to visit to complete the game, it is worth visiting to enjoy the ambient and relaxing vibe that can be found there.

Reddit user Naydinfar-Crossing feels the same way because they recreated Lurelin Village on their Animal Crossing: New Horizons island, resulting in one of the most relaxing crossovers yet. One can almost hear the Calypso-inspired Lurelin Village theme music playing by looking at the photos shared by Naydinfar-Crossing. However, one thing that any The Legend of Zelda fan will notice in Naydinfar-most Crossing’s recent Animal Crossing creation is that their Link is dressed up in his sequel’s attire.

This isn’t the only Legend of Zelda-inspired scene recreated by Naydinfar-Crossing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The creator also shared a speed build of Hyrule Castle earlier this year, complete with Triforce embossed banners and multiple turrets. They’ve even recreated the Korok Forest from Breath of the Wild on their New Horizons island with incredible accuracy.
