You’ll need to conduct a factory reset on your router to recover the forgotten login and password. Keep in mind that any modifications you’ve made will be undone.

    • Take a needle or a paperclip and make a sharp, pointed item.
    • On the back of the router, look for a little reset button.
    • Using the needle or paperclip, press and hold that button for 10-15 seconds.
    • Release the button after that. The router will reboot, and everything, including any changed username and password, will be reset to their default settings.

    Troubleshooting 192.168.100.1 Login Problems

One of two things could happen if the password does not work:

    • You have forgotten your password after changing it. If this is the case, performing a factory reset is the simplest way to regain access to your router. A factory reset is simple, and all you have to do is press and hold the little RESET button on the back of your router for 10-15 seconds with a needle or paper clip, then let it go. The router will reboot, and you’ll be able to log in with the default password again.
    • Your router/default modem’s password is not what you’re using. Simply look for the password for your router’s precise model on the internet.

Unable to access anything (i.e. the browser keeps loading)

    • If your browser is unable to view anything at 192.168.100.1, it’s possible that your router’s default gateway address is not 192.168.100.1. Find out what your router/default modem’s gateway address is and use that instead.
    • If you’re entering 192.168.l00.1, which is frequently mistyped as IP but is actually a typo, make sure you input the gateway address correctly and try again.
    • By temporarily removing the network firewall settings, you may see if your firewall is preventing you from accessing certain websites.
